Marcia Zeitoune Janzen was born in Rio de Janeiro and lived in Germany from 1986 and 2016, holding Brazilian and German citizenship. Since 2016 she has been living in Israel and studying Israeli law besides her professional activity.

She concluded her law studies in 1983 with summa cum laude at the prestigious Rio de Janeiro State University and was admitted to the Brazilian Bar in 1984. German law was part of her Master of Comparative Law studies at the University of Bonn, which was concluded in 1989 with magna cum laude and the LL.M. title. Under the supervision of Prof. Markus Lutter she wrote a Master’s thesis: "The Liability of the Parent Company for the Liabilities of its Subsidiaries based upon German and Brazilian Corporate Law".

Her professional career in Brazil began at the legal department of Chase Manhattan Bank (1981 - 1983), where she dealt with all kinds of financial contracts of the bank. From 1983 - 1986 she was in charge of litigation, as well as of corporate and tax law matters at Jayme Bastian Pinto & Taunay. From 1986 – 1987 she interned on a grant by the Krupp Foundation in Germany at legal departments of Deutsche Bank, Henkel KGaA, the DEG, and Curschmann Schubbel & Weiss Lawyers. After many years at Dresdner Bank Latin America (1989 - 2004), dealing with legal issues and contracts for international trade financing, she started her own practice as a Brazilian lawyer in Germany, in association with the law firms Buse Heberer Fromm and Wülfing Zeuner Rechel (1999 - 2015).

Her portfolio of clients includes medium-sized and stock-listed companies in various business sectors such as maritime, engineering, IT, the printing and chemical industries, as well as insurance companies.
